My Home

I was born in The Woodlands, Texas I lived there till 3rd grade. I still consider it my home, my best memories happened there. I participated in soccer, ballet, and tae-kwon-do for at least eight years. Ballet was a big part of my life until I broke my toe, then I had to give it up. Which is okey because after I started riding my horses more. When I was growing up we owned two houses, well one a house and a ranch in Washington, Texas. This is where I learned how to horseback ride and shoot at snakes. We moved to our ranch my mom would still take my to dance class, an hour away, back to The Woodlands. I remember my dad always washing our cars in the driveway, I used to help him all the time, I enjoyed spending time with my dad back then. We would wash my dads car first, then my moms, and my sisters, I do not know why I enjoyed this but our summers where the same thing everyday. Sitting at our pool with a capri-sun and my jukebox, summers were my favorite. Other activities my dad and I did were going to get ice cream after school, driving around the city for fun, and watching baseball on an old box TV, where he would smoke a pipe of tobacco and yell at the TV.
I went to a Christian Orientated school for most my life, probably why I am the person I am today.  I truly have nothing against religion but I wish some religions were not forced on children, especially since they do not get to chose. I understand a parent trying to do a good thing, but the memories I have of those Christian School years have me scared. I believe in being a good person, and doing good to others. Living a city life and country life really impacted my outlook on life. Learning how to garden, can food, and shoot can all be useful life skills if I ever needed them. My favorite actives on the ranch were, driving around feeding my horses, fishing, or riding my horse. My horses name was Taffy, she was trained to barrel race, she was also an American Quarter horse. I have had her since I was thirteen, she was my birthday present. I am grateful I lived the life I did, even through the more recent years of my family's split, I am grateful my mom has been supportive and nurturing to me. I am sad I do not get to see my horses anymore since they are with my dad, but hopefully I get to see them soon.
