About Me

My name is Mackenzie Roberts. I am a nineteen year old college student starting my first semester. I have two siblings but they do not live with me. My sister is named Meagan, she has two kids named Perry and CJ. My brother is named Drake. An interesting fact about Drake is that he was drafted out of high school to play baseball for the Indians but recently resigned.
If I am not at school I am not at school I am most likely with friends, at work, at a coffee house, or with my mom. My current academic situation is that I am starting my first semester of college after taking a semester off since I graduated high school. While I attend A&M Consolidated High School I started junior year last August, and managed to complete a whole year early. I took several night courses online while going to school during day. My night courses included: English 4, economics, government, and science 4.
My hobbies include painting, hiking, and dog watching. Painting is something I hope to become better at, I really express through art, it carries so much meaning behind pieces. Everyone gets a different feel from it too, one person can think a meaning to a painting and someone can think a whole other meaning. I've been told most my paintings are very abstract. I use a painting knife for almost all my paintings so they are layered and chunky. Hiking is so thrilling. The pureness of the air and just being able to be free in nature is so peaceful. I really want a dog so I can take it hiking with me. Dogs really excite me, I had ten growing up. The biggest dog being a lab named Colonel to the smallest, a Chihuahua named Lucy. My favorite dogs are pugs, I want to get a male named Leo. I do not want to get a dog yet because my job does not pay enough.
In conclusion my goals are to finish my two years at Blinn, transfer to a college in Austin or Houston. I would like to become a political leader or artist but if my plans change I hope to be prepared and go all in to what I want to do.

    Mackenzie, A fellow pug lover! And Leo is a fantastic name for a little lion brave pug. Austin has a fantastic Pug Rescue organization. Google their website and start dreaming of what Leo will look like sitting at your feet and snoring even when he/she is wide awake.

    We'll need to see some pics of your artwork. Very cool. I'm excited to see the effects from the knife situation you described. I'm not sure how "political leader or artist" go together, but did you know that President George W. Bush just released a book of paintings? So maybe you could do both.

    Let's practice some verbal reading of your texts before hitting print. You've got solid ideas and details that need to sit firmly in solid sentences.

    I went hiking once and did not like it at all. I don't have a sister named Meagan but i have a cousin and she spells it Megan.

    I love your hobbies, it impressive. I do art as drawing as my compassion. i fell the same as difficult that you not in school that would freak out.

Spring Semester 2018

Spring Semester 2018 Blinn College This semester I went in thinking I would be struggling to pass and keep up with my work, but turns out it was the opposite. During the semester I expected myself to fall behind and not do so well, but I actually ended up succeeding in all my courses I signed up for. I signed up for four courses this semester: speech, reading, learning framework, and math. I kept up with all of them, passing and making good grades on tests and quizzes. I actually found them too easy, at some points I would ask myself how I got in such easy courses. Which is fine, I have learned from each course but I still feel as if I wasted my time in these classes. More specifically, learning framework, this class was completely unnecessary.
